Video Abstract Submission Guidelines

Please review the guidelines below carefully before

submitting your abstract.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Videos shall be submitted electronically through the Congress website at the time of submission.
  • You are required to provide a title and brief description of your Video, including its novelty and clinical relevance, up to a maximum of 2,500 characters in total and written in English.
  • No data is expected or required in the description.
  • The Video submitted must be the same Video that will be presented at the Congress if accepted.
  • The Video should be well edited.
  • Videos which have been previously presented at national or international meetings can be submitted to E-AHPBA.
  • Videos which have been previously presented at E-AHPBA should not be re-submitted.
  • When you submit online, your submission will automatically be formatted according to the E-AHPBA 2027 Congress submission requirements.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS


Abstracts should be structured in the following four sections (case study abstracts do not need to follow this structure):

DURATION

The Video should be a maximum of eight minutes. Videos longer than eight minutes will be automatically rejected.

NARRATION

All Videos must be narrated and edited in English, explaining the objectives and methods used during the procedure.

FILE SIZE

A maximum file size of 200 MB is permitted.


FILE FORMAT

Videos must be uploaded in AVI, MPG, MPG4, MP4, MOV or WMV format.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • There is no limit to the number of Video Presentations an author may submit.
  • Authors should select one topic only for each Video submitted. If a Video relates to more than one topic, please select the most appropriate: Liver, Pancreas, Biliary, Transplant or HPB 360.
  • It is the submitting author’s responsibility to submit a correct Video and any accompanying information. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be presented as typed by the author, if accepted. Poor English may be a cause for rejection.
  • If you do not complete the submission process, your submission will remain in draft until you return to complete it. Your Video submission must be fully submitted by 7 January 2027 (23:59hrs CET) to be considered.
  • Changes to the submission may be made until 7 January 2027 through the submitting author’s personal 'My Submissions' page.
  • Video abstracts will not be published in the online Congress supplement of E-AHPBA’s official partner journal, HPB.
  • The submitting author will receive all correspondence concerning the submission and is responsible for informing the other authors of its status.
  • An acknowledgement of submission will be sent to the email address provided. If confirmation is not received within 24 hours, please contact the Abstract Department at eahpba.abstracts@abstractserver.com.
  • Notification of acceptance/rejection will be emailed to the submitting author from 16 March 2027 onwards.
  • Upon acceptance, presenting authors are expected to register and present their submitted Video in person at the Congress.
  • The presenting author must be registered and fully paid by 22 April 2027. Presentations may be removed from the programme if the presenting author has not registered and paid by this deadline.
